Hi Guys,
I am conducting a survey as part of an MA thesis. I am targeting EFL teachers and would be very grateful for your help!
The questionnaire requires rating accents on how you perceive them. There are four parts and they all relate to EFL.
The questionnaire should be completed as quickly as possible and hopefully you will get some enjoyment out of it.
It is accessible through:

Thank you all in advance! |

I like the portal to the survey, but I think the scale needs to be more clearly labeled in the audio and later sections. The fact that each speaker is reading the script creates a necessary conformity, but reading a script isn't the same as natural speech - some of the speakers who come across as very contrived and stilted in the clips may be fine in real life - or horrible. Impossible to tell.
In any case, the audio clips were all well within the range of 'educated native speaker' and there is little to choose among them. IMO, any of these are fine in the classroom. |
