What if my liver function test says that my liver isn't doing so hot. Not hepatitis, but old scars for a sordid past. Will that sink the whole thing?
Also, I'm not exactly Lance Armstrong fitness wise. I think that's damaging to the liver. Is the embassy looking for stuff like this? Do people who haven't taken great care of themselves routinely get rejected? |

You have to be more specific. Saudis don't want to hire s/o with a chronic illness like hepatitis and some STDs can knock you out.
If you're really anxious, have your doctor avoid mention of prior liver disease and hope that the blood tests don't raise any red flags. |

No, nothing like an STD or anything contagious. But fatty liver and maybe something more advanced. Just the effects of 20 years of hard drinking. I'm worried they're going to see my test and think I'm a degenerate.
To be fair, I was.
I'm not anymore, though. |

Concern is HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis. They do not care if you are a drunk - performing, or dry.
KSA is easier to handle if you are off the sauce by the way. I experienced it drunk and sober. Sober is better. Bill Wilson and Doctor Bob told me ! |

I was accepted in KSA and I had a few years of excessive drinking behind me. I don“t think you need worry. |

Fatty liver is a common condition that many and most middle-aged to older Westerners have regardless of whether they are drinkers or not.
I was diagnosed with fatty liver years ago. It and perhaps a few problems I didn't even know about had me concerned prior to my physical when I was about to depart for KSA at age 48. I was afraid they'd find brain tumors or the beginnings of diabetes, which virtually every other member of my family on both sides has had. Then at the hotel near D.C. they were putting me up at I met the man who was processed just before me. He was a decrepit 65-year-old who had just passed his medical exam. As soon as I met him I stopped worrying.
Then after the extensive, comprehensive exam when I finally got to see the doctor he told me that I was a bit thick around the middle, and ought to try to lose weight. While I was glad to be in good health, it irked me that he could only tell me what I already knew. |
