It looks like the chickens are coming home to roost in Taiwan. The growth of universities and colleges in the 90's led to a growth in students entering university. Unfortunately the massification of education has brought us to the current crisis which is that there are too many graduates chasing too few jobs. Of course universities don't care about steering their potential students towards degrees that might have little market value. On the contrary, they are just interested in taking their money or taking the money they've borrowed. It's a big scandal and students should be far more discerning about what and where they study and, more pertinently, if they study at all.
