Hi Everyone...
I have been able to find out almost nothing about this company.
Is anyone working for 51 Talk? Or, does anyone know anyone who is working or has worked for this company?
I'd like to know how it was working with them. And I'm curious if anyone stayed for a long time with them.
51 Talk advertises a great deal. They say they are a huge company with many clients and in great need of teachers. Yet, I have unable to locate anyone who has experience with them.
Anyone have any inside information they can share? |

They are based in the Philippines and most likely backed by Chinese money like everything else there. Imagine that the pay is laughable unless you are hired as a ringer.
I teach online now from Colombia. Straight 4 hour group class to Saudis that I get $60 for. Keeps the teaching part of my career alive at a rate that I think gives some respect to the teacher. Hard to find that with online Chinese or Filipino companies. I would shoot for the Korean and especially Japanese online schools which pay much better and are within the time zone region as you. |
