Hello,

This is me: MA TESOL, Trinity DipTESOL, Grad.Cert Education (Tertiary Teaching), 11 years in the trenches, 37 years old, UK.

I have just applied to ARAMCO.

How long does it tale them to get back to you (if at all)?

How long does the hiring process take?

How long are the contracts for?

If its ARAMCO you want to work for you may have more luck with one of the contractors they tend to use for supplying teachers such as Al-Hoty (who I can personally recommend) or Jatco (who are ok but not as good).

I've recently started as an Operator trainer in RT so not been in KSA too long but from what I've gathered almost all teachers/trainers are contract staff unless they've either got a few years under their belt there and been offered the swap over or are Saudi nationals.

...but the salaries I have seen for contracted staff seem to be about $3500-$4000 a month. Much lower than for direct hires, and also, a salary certainly not worth moving to KSA for.

Am I right about those figures?

The last post I recall with number was that the offer was about $7000 which included salary and benefits.

I assume that Paul would be higher with all his years of experience in the area. (yes?)

Paul does get more due to his experience but starting base salaries can certainbly be higher than those quoted figures if you have
a) a US passport
b) DELTA/MA
c) ME experience

I just got my pay slip today. With an hour of overtime, it was exactly $7,000. (With all the stuff added in and all the stuff taken out.)

Most of us who were hired this past year have MAs and years of experience in the field -- middle-aged guys. We make around 30000-35000 SR monthly, including housing and all other allowances (plus OT at around $30 US per hour).
