| Hello. I got a job in Turkey recently and will be applying for a work visa from the USA. Will I be able to apply to any US Turkish Consulate or do I have to go to the one that is assigned to my state? The problem is that I am 12 hours away from the one my state is assigned to and only 8 hours away from the closest consulate. Any help would be great. Also, I have read that the maximum days to be approved for a visa is 30 days. Has anyone had any luck getting it approved in a short amount of time or was it pretty much 30 days? Thanks to anyone who can help! |

Why not call the consulate and ask? Do post your answer here for others' benefit after speaking with them.  |
