| I'm just wondering if anyone has any recent feedback on Hampson English. The bulk of the negative reviews I have found seem to be a few years old now. Could this mean they have improved their running of things somewhat? |

My friend worked there part time last year - still bad, low pay, holding back some of your pay as insurance etc.. |

| I worked there part-time for a few months, I ended up quitting because they wanted me to work crappy hours, and the commute was not worth it. I think they pay like 230-250 yuan for 100 minutes or something. But what happens is that you do 50 minute classes and they aren't always blocked together. So you're there for like 3 hours, get 375 yuan or whatever, and then take a bus home for an another hour, and there goes your day! So for a month, I would get 1500 yuan, and basically an entire afternoon was burned away. It's not worth it IMO, but they had quite a few teachers there. Tutoring privately is the only way to go! |

They put you in a small room and you have to prove yourself. If you are good, more students come.
Pay is low but you have a recruiter and sit in a comfortable room. |

Are you forced to do a demo every time new parents bring their kids in?
Do they provide you with their own teaching materials? |

Bumping this as I'm still curious.
Regarding Hampson's policy on bringing in new students and forcing teachers to do demos for them to see if the students and parents will "like you," what are they usually looking for in the demos?
And they mainly teach one-on-one, or group classes as well? |

| I teach kindergarten children, you cant prove yourself in one demo class,it takes time to build up a relationship with children. |
