The reason I ask is that when I go here
They have a $1,395 placement fee as well as these notes about it
Quote: |
Note: Program Placement Fees subject to change without prior notice.
* Each semester is approximately five months, including in-country orientation and training.
** All placements include three weeks (four weeks if the teaching institution contributes) of rent-free furnished accomodations which begin the first day of orientation. |
Then the positions they offer are only for five or ten months.
Has anyone dealt with this recruiter and placement company? |

The question isn't whether or not they are legitimate, but whether or not you can find a better offer. And the answer to the latter questions is, yes, you most definitely can. Keep looking. |

Thanks, but I still wonder if it's a scam of some kind. I didn't want to outright accuse them. That's why I said legitimate, rather than scammer. It may be thet they are completely above board. Does anyone know? |

Oh hey y'all. I just realized another thread called 'teaching chile' explains the situation fairly well. I didn't realize before because the thread title is generic, though understandably so. It can be taken as a general topic that that has nothing to do with TeachingChile, the recruiter.
edit:: There is also this thread I now realize. Ah well, I may not be much of a researcher, but I've shored up the whole TeachingChile situation and alerted y'all to what if it is not a scam is a rotten deal. |

Yup. Not a scam. They do what they say. Just a bad deal, as others have said.
