|
|
Hi Everyone,
Do you think that an m-learning device that fosters accountability would be a worthwhile idea?
I.e. students sign up for this service. If they don't practice a given amount on a certain day, then they will receive a person that gives their parent/supervisor/etc. a phone call
In my experience, the lack of accountability is one reason why distance learning fails; there isn't the "whip"/social chastisement of a regular classroom teacher.
What do you guys think? |

You can't bump the system without being them getting rid of you as a teacher. The problem with the educational systems in Asia is much broader than accountability. |

Whether in Asia or elsewhere, public schools do what they're set up to do and that is to sort and select for university admission. Standardized tests are considered the fairest and most efficient means of achieving that aim. In Asia, English in particular is one of the 'rocket sciences' that allow for a broad bell curving to assist that aim.

In response to your question, you might want to think about why the following is incorrect. "My teacher learned me something." |
