I have a large DVD collection that I want to copy to digital before moving to KSA (and NO, it's nothing naughty). Any advice on best ways to do it? Best software, unforeseen problems, etc.

Mpeg Streamclip always did right by me. Used to use Mac the Ripper but it no longer works with even the current Mac OSes...

Look, I don't want to belabor this point. But what if it were something dirty. Say buried deep in your hard drive? Just a few, you know, honeymoon pictures. What then? They gonna go all CSI on my laptop at the airport?

No one is going to look at your hard drive on arrival.

I use a program called DVD Decrypter. Works great. Its official version was shut down eight years ago but the mirror file is still available at http://www.dvddecrypter.org.uk/

I love it because it's so easy to use. I think it's probably the best one out there. FYI, it takes quite a while to copy an average DVD. I forget exactly, but approximately 25 minutes for an average movie. It does not work on Bluray.
