I have a large DVD collection that I want to copy to digital before moving to KSA (and NO, it's nothing naughty). Any advice on best ways to do it? Best software, unforeseen problems, etc. |

Mpeg Streamclip always did right by me. Used to use Mac the Ripper but it no longer works with even the current Mac OSes... |

Look, I don't want to belabor this point. But what if it were something dirty. Say buried deep in your hard drive? Just a few, you know, honeymoon pictures. What then? They gonna go all CSI on my laptop at the airport? |

No one is going to look at your hard drive on arrival. |

I use a program called DVD Decrypter. Works great. Its official version was shut down eight years ago but the mirror file is still available at http://www.dvddecrypter.org.uk/
I love it because it's so easy to use. I think it's probably the best one out there. FYI, it takes quite a while to copy an average DVD. I forget exactly, but approximately 25 minutes for an average movie. It does not work on Bluray. |
