I Taught there for 2 years 2010- 2012.
You're going to have a very good experience if it's anything like mine was.
If you haven't done so, you might look at U Nizwa's website.
There is a PDF file on it you can access for new teachers that is about the best I've ever seen in the ME in terms of organization to give you an idea of what to expect.
Below I am enclosing a link, which will take you to the school's website, and it describes for you what a Foundation teacher (if that is what you are) should expect.
The moderating on this site is a bit heavy-handed, so there is a very good chance what I am going to tell you will be deleted.
In this you must use a bit of problem solving so we can get it by the moderators, but you are a teacher, so I know you are smart.
Take the advice in the riddle to you from a past instructor at the very same college where soon you will be...
--------------------------------------------------------------
CLUE 1: Divide 12 by 6.
Then add 1 to the sum.
CLUE 2: How many riddles in Turandot?
---------------------------------------------------------------
The Riddle of UNizwa
In a book newly read, 9 people are pictured.
Look in the middle, count down the number from riddle above.
And then remember this quote:
“Damaged people are dangerous. They know they can survive.”

To The OP,
Do keep us informed on how things are going for you at the University of Nizwa....I understand they are recruiting a lot more teachers these days...and increasing their offers too. Me thinks things have improved there over the years |
