Does anyone have any information about (Al?) Dorra Training Institute in Al Khafji?

Apparently, this is part of Al-Khafji Joint Opperations (KJO). Is this the same tech college that opened around 2013 there (it was Saudi Petroleum Service Polytechnic), or is this something new?

I used to work for KJO via a contractor. I'll start with the positives. The salary, when I was there, was generous and included a remote location bonus. I was able to save a lot and pay off debt. The actual company, KJO, is a pleasure to work for. The students were adult employees and the Saudi/Kuwaiti managers were fine. It's a relaxed working environment and teachers, when I was there, pretty much made their own teaching schedules.

The negatives. Well, I had some pretty weird colleagues. One in particular, used to bully other teachers and was often in trouble with people. The manager at the time was clueless about education - and survived by brown nosing everyone in sight. And our contractor wasn't a good one, we all had problems getting travel papers to go to Kuwait or Bahrain. Maybe the situation has changed since then.

In summary, a good place to go if you need to save some money quickly. But be warned, Khafji is not a place with any entertainment, so you'd need to go to Kuwait / Bahrain on weekends to stay sane. Hope this helps. PM me for any additional information. Smile Smile
