According to the Saudi Embassy in the US:
Quote:
All women are required to travel for Hajj with a Mahram. Proof of kinship must be submitted with the application form. Women over the age of forty-five (45) may travel without a Mahram with an organized group, They must, however submit a no objection letter from (their) husband, son or brother authorizing travel for Hajj with the named group. This letter should be notarized.

However, a few years ago, a 33-year-old, single friend of mine travelled for Hajj with a group of married couples and other single women. It was organized through a travel/visa agent. She was teaching in the Gulf at the time.

I suggest you post your question on one of the more general expat forums to reach a broader audience. Do an Internet search on expat Saudi forum and on Hajj single expat women. You might also contact Hajj visa agents in your current location with your questions.

Yes, there are three conditions:

1. You have to be a Muslim expat

2. You are allowed to go to Hajj once each 5 years (you apply for an internal Hajj visa through agent); and

3. You go through registered Hajj agent (Single female is allowed to go to Hajj with other families or single females with the same agent)

That is good to hear I am hoping to land a job within the province of Makkah before Hajj season, Allaah willing. However, I was a little scared as I read a few horror stories of people breaking Hajj regulations some expats being ban for 10 years from entering the Kingdom and deported and citizens imprisoned, Allaah forbid! I will most certainty have to look into regulations more seriously seems complex they seem pretty strict I am not trying to mess with Saudi law ever!
