Hi all,
I hope some Canadians who have done the criminal record check can say which one of these they used to start the invitation letter/work permit process.
I have been asked for a police check, but as Canucks know there are a 2 options.
Have you been able to get by with just the Canadian police check (or CPIC)? Or has your Uni. or FAO only accepted the RCMP report?
If you can say which province that would help me and possibly others as well.
Many thanks ! |

Police Check is fine. Just pick whichever you can obtain the fastest. |

Thanks for the reply
Yeah, the police check is the fastest and cheapest as well, as I'm overseas. I was just wondering if the trend towards requiring a criminal check is similar to Korea in which they have been sticklers for only the RCMP checks.
If no teacher has been specifically asked for the RCMP or fingerprint reports from Canadian applicants, then it is likely a name/DOB police check should suffice. |
