Do they hire all year around in Vietnam? When are the peak hiring seasons? |

Generally speaking, the months leading up to and immediately after Tet (Lunar New Year) are considered to be the slowest of the year.
Officially, Tet occurs February 07 - 14 in 2016, but really starts and finishes up days before and after that. So that means that from now (December) until about April demand will be lower. Peak time is after that starting in May and building up into the summer.
However, if you search for Vietnam teaching job ads on the internet right now, you will still find a fair amount of demand, especially in Hanoi and HCMC. Probably not the best jobs, but there are some out there. So yes, hiring does continue throughout the year. |

Yes, and it can take a few weeks for schools to get up and running because they need students to register for classes and sometimes they take their time b/c of the holiday and/or funds after Tet is over.

Starting this year, there will be more official days off from work that is national and nationwide. It will be a longer Tet holiday this year (although I've forgotten the exact number of days added). |
