How has teaching in Poland changed in the past 5-6 years?

I taught in Lubin, Zielona Gora and Opole.

In Lubin and Opole It does not look like there has been any change with schools opening or closing.

However, I was surprised to see that Zielona Gora had a few new schools open up in the past year.

Are there new schools opening up where you are?

Forget Poz. Adult ELT has been on the slide for years. The perfect storm of more Polish teachers, tonnes of American med students doing conversation, more English taught at primary school, Poles going to and returning from the UK and silly new business practices making EFL almost unviable after 2 years re the ZUS and starting your own company.

I don't think it's changed much in the last decade. The main thing over here is self-reliance. You can always start with language schools, as a matter of fact that's probably the best option. Gain some clients of your own doing that and then move on.

New schools are always coming and going, but just as it is anywhere else, these are usually ran by incompetent and very unprofessional people, with few exceptions of course.

I've worked in small towns and in Warsaw and to be honest, the only thing that changes is the pay.
