I am a US citizen and once I leave my job, can only carry continuation coverage for 18 months (at $260 a month no less). Its not cheap but I would do it (I need good coverage).

I've read posts about insurance for specific countries, and am wondering if that is what people do everywhere? Get insurance either through the country they work in or buy some kind of travel plan? (Do you automatically qualify if you are in a country with socialized healthcare? What if you are working under the table, like in europe or LA?)

What did you do ??

I brought a packet of Aspirin with me, I could send you one if you get a headache.
