I would love to only pay a few hundred for ZUS and 9% tax. I just don't see how it's possible to get away with it in the long run. As a foreigner I don't want to deal with ZUS or US problems in the future.

It's absolutely legit. Since you're signing two separate contracts with them one is "dzieƂo" the other "zlecenie" so you're covered. ZUS is paid as well. You're sort of a subsidiary for the company pretty much. 9% is the tax.. 250pln / month is the fee.

Yea, well, have you ever noticed that most of the good jobs are like that?

I'm surprised you haven't looked into teaching in an international school, seeing as how you 'live' in Poland and (I'm assuming) have a master's. I guess it would involve teaching kids though, which is not everyone's cup of tea.

So to finalize this topic....

I spent 7 months with this institution and I am absolutely satisfied. Great customer care, no problems what so ever. Money in the bank as soon as I handed in all of my paper work.

I'm not moving onto other things, leaving teaching behind. It was a long and interesting ride, but I don't see many 45+ teachers around and the ones I do see... well, we've all seen 'em Smile

My new line of work requires me to yet again register with ZUS however, which is a shame given the amount of money I was able to save with this organization.
