$100,000 to clone a dog!??
I think the cloned dog will die early. Dolly the sheep that was cloned in 1996 died early.
In addition, the dead dog (Dylan) had a brain tumour, and this will be transferred through the DNA to the new dog, so there is high chance that the new dog may develop the same disease. |

That's terribly sad. They don't really have Dylan back, just the closest possible thing. How will it be when the puppies aren't actually Dylan reincarnated in terms of personality and how they develop? I'd prefer to start over with a new dog. |

The first successfully cloned dog
http://time.com/3822573/snuppy/
and he became a Dad three years later.
In 2008, Snuppy became involved in the first known successful breeding between cloned canines, after sperm taken from Snuppy was used to artificially inseminate two cloned females, which resulted in the birth of 10 puppies. Nine of the puppies survived.
I can't find any reports of his death, so he may still be alive.
Regards,
John |

4 July: Remde flies to South Korea with the samples, delivers them to laboratory staff waiting at the airport and immediately gets on a plane back to the UK. |
Not a big Korea fan then. |
