I was going to wait for midnight , when the convention tells us the new day and the New Year begins.

It was nearly midnight my time when I posted, but I still remembered, and it's the thought that counts. Even grahamb appeared, although I feared some reference to a long defunct calendar pointing out that new year was still a fortnight away.
