|
|
I was going to accept a job at Juaymah, but I started doing research and found this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GubaXDw9qNQ
http://www.arabnews.com/saudi-arabia/news/859996
Does anyone know if Juaymah is safe for expats considering that it is close to Qatif and Al- Awamiyah
Maybe this was an isolated incident, but still I really do not want to be in the middle of Sunni, Shia disagreements
I have asked the company two times about the atmosphere and safety. I have not gotten a reply.
Any information would be helpful |

If you're worried, then don't accept the position. No one can predict if/when a situation might turn unstable. Things can be fine one day and volatile the next given the current climate.
Look for positions in Riyadh or Jeddah. |

| Juaymah is a hole in the middle of nowhere. I dont know where you'll actually be living hopfully not in Qatif which I highly doubt, but if working for the new college or for SESP you shouldnt have any issues there. It's in a swamp/garbage dump area that no one would want to be any longer than teaching for the day and returning home to civilization wherever that may be for you. |

Don't waste your breath here. This is another example of someone getting good advice from experienced people and totally ignoring it.
I (and others) previously advised this OP about this location
http://forums.eslcafe.com/job/viewtopic.php?t=112842
It appears whatever we said was totally rejected out of hand with no reflection at all.
Now here, the OP quotes newspaper articles about the insecurity and instability of the area he proposes to go to.....and guess what......he still doesn't believe it and is again asking about "what we think".
He has asked his prospective employer (twice) about the security of the location and has received no reply. (I wonder why?) He seems amazed he hasn't gotten a reply.
The OP has no intention whatsoever of heeding our advice. He's already buying his ticket. It would take a formal notification that his place of work has been totally demolished by "unfriendly fire" before he would seriously think of not coming here.
Barring that, I'm not going to waste another ounce of breath on this one. |

I have my reasons for having two different posts about
the same area. If you have a problem with it then do not
reply.. If anyone have any questions about the rush and the need
for two posts, pls pm me
There is no reason to be unprofessional
thank you |
