Now, I received my CELTA qualification in the summer of 2011...the plan was to get out and use it straight away ....but I was tempted to do an English degree (which I completed with first-class honours in 2015...I think I probably did it the wrong way round !)
Since I've had the CELTA on my CV I have been working in a private, educational setting here in the UK with young children (a couple of days a week whilst I studied for my degree) - all experience...but not strictly ESL !
My only other experience was a 6 month stint teaching English as a foreign language in Japan many moons ago (9 to be exact)
As of today I'm studying for an MA in English BUT the plan this summer is to move to Germany to be with my partner, and hopefully get a part time job teaching English whilst I write my dissertation - and perhaps, beyond that.
Now 5 years has passed since I received the CELTA...which obviously is not ideal. I'm really looking for advice on what I should doing between now and the summer to prove to any would-be employers that I'm worth a 'punt'...or what would be positive, practical things I could be doing to include on any cover letters?
Thanks a lot!

Some suggestions to get your mind back in ESL mode before heading to Germany:
    - Volunteer to teach a class of adult refugees/immigrants once a week
    - Observe no less than 4 seasoned ESL teachers conduct their classes
    - Plan to attend the IATEFL conference 13th-16th April in Birmingham
