I was browsing the various categories for SNET placement. I was a bit confused on what the differences between Category 2 and 3 are. At a cursory glance, it's a bit confusing, and even when emailing the NET scheme directly they couldn't give me a solid answer.
I'm also not entirely familiar with the education systems outside of America. Let's assume I have the following:
1) Bachelors of Science in Secondary English Education (certified to teach English to grades 6-12 in America).
2) A CELTA
3) 1 year of ESL teaching experience (high school)
Would that theoretically land me in category 2, 3, or even further down? The "post-grad" degree bit is throwing me off, and I'm not 100% familiar with the terms PGDE and PDCE or their American equivalents. I have heard various things and am looking for a solid answer.
- Does my Bachelors of Ed with teaching credentials count as an "equivalent"?
- What are the differences between categories 2 and 3?
- Which category would I land in with these qualifications? |
