I will be moving to Brno in June or July with my partner, who works for Honeywell. What is the process for obtaining a work visa? Also, what kids schools should I apply for? I have a BA in English, Arizona Provisional Teaching Cert and 8 years of teaching experience, including 6 months in Mexico, 1 year in Korea and 2 years in Spain, teaching ESL. I appreciate your help! Thanks! Smile

Check out visa information at

I think a lot will depend on whether you are married or not.

As for Villa Tugendhat, this is now a World Heritage Site. It is a fine example of modern functionalist architecture made of reinforced concrete, which was designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. It was recently refurbished and was the focus of a recent photographic exhibition in London.

Some Anglophones have an allergy to the term "Bauhaus". The Tugendhat villa is an example of that architectural school.
