I want to leave my job and was wondering if it is worth my time to do it the proper way. I don't think my contract is legal based on the information I was given by the Police Bureau.
I only have 2 months left on my contract which states I need to pay them up to 1000 usd and give 30 days notice. I assume the alternatives would include getting fired or a midnight run. I don't want to pay simply because they have broken the contract numerous times.
So my questions are what happens when you are fired? I have a letter from my school already stamped. Also anyone updated on what happens when you break a contract are you blacklisted.
For the moral police I know I signed the contract and I should complete it just want to vent and get some opinions on other options. |

If this is true then I'd have no qualms walking away tomorrow. A contract is a 2 way street.
However if you want to stay in China it may be a problem as your next employer may require a 'letter of recommendation' - not an letter as in personally written by your boss, but a government form - nothing major, just a few tick boxes. |

Can you bring a rep from the school to the PSB to sort things out?
If you can get a free release, do you have funds to leave? Can you compel the school to pay for your return home or to your next destination?
Do you have a Plan B? |

The company is big in shenzhen. I don't think the rules apply to them I was shorted money before and went to the office was asked what I wanted them to do.
The company does alot of little things like taking tax for pay less than 4,000 and it is just annoying. Moving people without following the 3 strike rule in the contract of contacting you then the school ect.
I have plenty of money which is why I want to leave nothing to wait for but the ink to run out on my contract. We get 5,000 flight but they tax it giving me just 3,500. I asked them to keep it so I can leave early and they were unwilling. I just obtained my license through teacherready so I want to apply for better jobs. |
