LongShiKong; Ctrip is not always cheaper than elong. Having used both web site companies, you must keep an eye on both as they will discount depending on the day and time.

I usually use Kayak.com

The website searches all the major travel sites (Orbitz, Expedia, Priceline, etc.) and shows you the cheapest available price.

Thanks - I've just checked it out. A useful website.

Anybody have any tips on the cheapest way to get from Bangkok to Zhuhai. From my searching it seems like an Air Asia flight from Bangkok to Macau & then a ??? bus/taxi/train ??? to Zhuhai from the airport. I've never been to Macau or Zhuhai so any help on the last part of the journey would be great. Thanks in advance Smile

www.momondo.com

Used to use them a lot when I taught in Europe. Now I just wait for the P888 fares (~$20) on Cebu Pacific from Hong Kong or Shanghai to Cebu or Manila....

Probably too late for you but to answer the question: Go outside the airport terminal to the bus stop for the AP1 bus. The AP1 does, if I recall correctly, take you right to the border gate with Zhuhai. Should be about 30-35 minutes on the bus in total. An alternative (if the AP1 has changed its route from what I mentioned above) is to take the AP1 into the city centre and then grab a taxi to Zhuhai, which would cost no more than a few $$.

If you are Android-able ... download an app called "Skyscanner."

It is also very useful.

Had a question and this was the first thread I saw, so very grateful.

I'm trying to find cheap flights to Beijing and Shanghai from Dandong.

My prospective school swears I can go from Dadong to Beijing for 1000 CNY. However, the best I can find on the net is 2000 or 2500. We are both talking about the same airline Air China.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Your prospective school is right. Flights between Beijing and Dandong can be lower than 1000 if you look in the right place at the right time. Ask your school where they book their flights and then try again. Airfares in China are usually a real bargain, outside of a couple of holiday periods.

Thanks. Much appreciated. I didn't think they were lying but I just couldn't find anything on the net to match what they said even with the links given on this thread.
