In the States (and depending upon the state), contingent upon the exact misdemeanor and the length of time that has passed, they tend to age off the record. This has been asked many times on this board, but nobody has ever reported back.

This is a good time to ask the folks who have gone through the CBC.

True, but that's only for state checks. I already ran my own state bc, and this was a class c 8 years ago so it's gone. I'm worried about the FBI check.

To my knowledge...

The FBI check... never erases anything... it's on there forever...

Yeah, I know. The question is, do you have to do an FBI check? I haven't gotten a definitive answer on whether most/all/some schools require it.

Just received this from my FAO, no mention of a CBC.

" Starting from April, for any new employment or transfer in China requires diploma consular authentification, which means it takes more time than before to get paperwork done."
