Hello All,
Yesterday I've received a preliminary employment offer from Al Hussan Education and training through an agency based in the UK. All of this was done without a formal interview. Anyway my question is, has anyone heard of this outfit? Also offer stated my nationality as British - although I'm American. Any feedback would be appreciated. I've also been visiting this forum regarding recruiters. Thanks a million. |

Unlike Asia, recruiters who work on behalf of employers generally aren't an issue. It's better to focus on the actual Saudi sponsor/employer, especially if it's one of the more infamous contracting companies. That said, a search within this forum comes up with zilch on Al Hussan Education and Training, so you may not get much in terms of responses.
It's always fishy when an offer is presented in absence of an interview. Of course, you could contact the recruiter or company and request a formal interview if one hasn't already been scheduled for you. |

Make sure they have a visa quota for USA teachers. |

The UK recruiter is TLTP.
I'll try searching it on Google and see if I come up with something about the school.
Thanks, I also hope that they have a quota is us Yankees as well. |

I have had some dealings with TLTP namely Paul (MOD edit).
Did you not have to precord an interview yourself using this new technology he have?
What are the details for the position? Where is it based in Saudi?
I know they are currently recruiting for King Saud University through the recruitment company EduGuide.
They advised me they will submit documents and wait back for an offer. An interview will not be required as EduGuide visited their offices in London and have an agreement with TLTP to do the pre screening of candidates.
So maybe the same thing has happened here? |

The guys at TLTP sound like a bunch of used car salesmen. They've got all the conversation and know it all, but really they're just saying what you want to hear although I will say Lee is a very straight talker.
And about their so called ' agreement' with Eduguide, I don't think that's true because I personally have had an interview with Eduguide. |

Hello AJ 88,
Was your interview with Al Hussan was through TLTP as well.
Oh, the contract would like for me to start the 18, August but will have to go through that visa stuff...and where I'm at now (Prague) is a very long swim to the USA |

If you're to be issued an employment visa, there's absolutely no way you can complete the process in less than 10 days. It can take from two to three months from the date you accept the job offer till the day you receive your visa in hand.
By contrast, if this company intends to bring you over on a business visit visa, it's a quicker process at less than a few weeks. However, think twice about having a biz visit visa; it doesn't grant you the legal right to employment or residence in the Kingdom. In other words, you'd be illegally employed, in violation of Saudi law. |

Thanks for the message,
TLTP did tell me about six weeks for the visa. I definitely don't want to work in Saudi illegally without the proper visa. |

Hi Clifton,
Where did TLTP say the position will be based in Saudi?
Is it in Dammam? |

Ok so the job must be the same one for King Saud University through TLTP.
They are not taking interviews and just making offers after TLTP submits the documents.
So maybe its through EduGuide but they are using Al Hussan?
Its getting a bit confusing how it works.
Apparently EduGuide are providing multi entry visas for teachers according to TLTP |

Oh right. That makes some sort of sense now because my mate said he got a contract from Al hussan via TLTP to work in King Saud.
As to multi entry visas. I think that's just a sales tactic they're using because they know it's what we all want to hear |
