A bit late, but might still be useful...
Cheapest and best is not the question. The best of the cheapest, maybe.
First thing: check if your ESL "gigs" are with a contract. Your employer will pay your basic health insurance, which is compulsory. Without that, your private insurance won't happen, which I'm guessing is what you're after.
Second, private health insurance: there are several options here, In which I'll include the "medicina complementaria".
Private can get up to around $400.000 per month for Colsanitas, a little less for Medisanitas, and $50.000 or a little more for complimentary services.
Without knowing your personal health situation, or your particular needs, or your tolerance for a Colombian public health service, I couldn't recommend one over the other. But, again, if you're on a labour contract you'll be covered by the standard public health plan. |
