Hello everyone!

I am wondering what are the startup costs for coming to Beijing without any housing support given by the employer?

There seems to be misleading and exaggerated information about this. Please give me an honest take on this.

Thanks

You are looking at two months housing deposit to start, plus first months rent. Of course you will have normal set up costs, food and whatever. Utilities are negligible , but have to be paid up front. few hundred bucks maybe?

Total expense will be based on what housing you want. Theres everything from sharing a house to big pimping on your own. thebeijinger.com can get you realistic prices.
