I notice that some schools deduct some money from teacher's salaries and put the money into China's social insurance program.
Is there any way to check how much money I've already put into this system so far? |

Yes, I got mine after two visits to the Human Resource and Development Center - 人力资源发展促进中心 （ren li zi yuan fa zhan cu jin zhong xin).
I showed my passport and asked for 社保卡 （she bao ka). |

| My work gave me my card. To check the balance go into any of the pharmacy places and ask them to check. They swipe the card and it gives out a receipt. |

Its for pension saving and medical care as I understand it.
Could you give a bit more information?
Do we get subsidized medicines? |
