I'll be leaving China for good towards the end of June.

Other than the things on the list below, are there any other admin tasks that I should be doing before I leave?

- Get a criminal record document from the local police.
- Claim back pension money.

Get release papers from your school. You never know when they might come in handy.

Get a reference letter printed on paper with your school letter head, signed by the principal/whatever, with a big red stamp on it. This will be really hard to obtain once you're away.

If you have time, it would be a good idea to get a declaration of no criminal record for the time you have been in China from the police too.

Good luck!

Please check in and let us know how you get on in the afterlife - the transition is something that we all consider at certain points and it's great to get perspective. Would really be appreciated : )

Don't say which day you will actually fly out. The airfare refund may be delayed and delayed...and well, you work out the rest.
