|

Hi,
I am in a bit of a pickle and need some advice. I have been in Thailand since Ramadan started but my passport is missing/ stolen. I have went to the Canadian Embassy and they are issuing me a new one on June 30th at 9 am.
My problem is that my Saudi Business Visa was inside my old passport. I will need a new Business Visa to re enter Saudi after Ramadan to head back to work.
I have tried contacting the Saudi Embassy in Bangkok and a few visa agents but it seems like I may encounter some difficulties. An option that I could do is head to Bahrain and get my Business visa.
Here are my questions:
1- I am working at the Royal Saudi AirForce in Dhahran and was brought on a business visa in March with the hope of switching it to an Igama at the end of the six months. Would the Igama process start over again with my new passport?
2- Would it be better to try and get my Business visa in Thailand or Bahrain? I have a pdf copy of my visa on my laptop and phone. Could that help along with my police report of my missing passport?
3- Finally, I always thought that Bahrain is to renew a visa and not to get one there. Would it be better to do it there as opposed to Thailand? I am finding out that Thai and Saudi have a fractiourous relationship due to what happened a while back with some tourist.
ANy tips or advice would be welcome!

For the record, all of my documents are at my villa in Dhahran. I would need my diplomas shipped. However, I have pdf copies on my laptop. I don't think I could use those though. |

These are all questions for the company sponsoring you since your visa is tied to them. Contact them asap. |

Just spoke to them. Things look like they will work out. Return to my home country and get an Igama because the paperwork is ready on their end.
Thank you for the advice Nomad Soul. |
