Well, I'm all set to start the Kumon Correspondence Japanese class in July. They sent me a level check test and mailed it back. I don't know if this is the thing or not, but I've heard it has been good for people's reading and vocabulary and grammar. The course claims to take you up to about the N2 level in a couple of years of regular study.

I decided to take this lesson because I lost my motivation studying on my own, and I am pretty busy looking after my baby outside of work.

Anyone else have experiences with the Kumon course? Positive? Negative? How did it go for you? Was it helpful?

I have just bought the books for what the kids learn in elementary schools.
Go for it.
The choice of materials is not so good for N3 or N2.
I think I will get a new teacher.

For English study, students have so much choice.

Yeah, it seems like the materials for anything over the current n3 get pretty bad. I am just using whatever company that makes the test materials the the JLPT. I really haven't seen too much outside that, seems like Genki and the such end around N3.

I like using Anki, as you can get pre loaded decks of FCs online. Tell us how Kumon is? I may want to look into it if it is good
