I have taught at a university in Turkey for a year. It hasn't been profitable, to say the least. I have an M.A. in TESOL 4 years of teaching at a Korean university and one in Turkey. I have friends in the Emirates, but no connections/connexions when it comes to university jobs. If you have any tips or suggestions, let me know. |

You apparently didn't read through any of the other threads on this forum. The big three major employers of university English foundation teachers will cut those programs within the next 18-24 months. See Foundation year to be or not to be. Hiring has already slowed down to zilch for a couple of the universities. However, HCT is still somewhat hiring but is to be avoided at all costs.
Your best bet is Saudi Arabia. See The skinny on direct-hire university opportunities if the Kingdom interests you. |

Nomad Soul is right. Nothing happening in the UAE. And even if it were, 2 months later, you'd be running to the airport. Look elsewhere my friend. Asia will take you in a heartbeat with your quals+experience. Good luck. |

A friend of mine claims he saw wanted ads. However, people on this board said things are going south. I can understand that because the economy is facing some serious challenges. I will seriously considering going back to Asia. It's a lot to think about. |
