I know that Saudi universities, when estimating your salary, add up how many years of English-teaching experience you have had. Well, in my case, I finished my M.Ed. TESOL in December of 2001, and I had been teaching for a private language school in Paris for over a year at that point. I then taught at this language school until June of 2003.
I taught EFL and English composition at a community college in Arizona as an adjunct from August 2011 to May of 2013, and simultaneously I taught English composition and English through cinema at a private art college during that time period as well. I now teach for a language school in Paris and a private university, where I have been employed at both for almost three years now.
So, would the 2001-2003 period count even though it was not a university? Also, do they consider the 2011-2013 period as two years or a total of four years since it was two years in duration, but at two different institutions? |
