I am a dual citizen of the US and Ireland, but was raised and educated in the States. I am currently working in France and would like to apply for university posts in Saudi Arabia for the term beginning in September of 2017.
My life is in France and it would be very inconvenient to have to fly back to the USA. Do you think Saudi authorities would let me do the visa work here in Europe?
Also, a medical exam in the States would cost a fortune. I have universal health care here in France and would rather take advantage of that.
I know that the Saudi visa process is grueling, so are there other countries in the region that pay well and have easier visa requirements that I could try in case this falls through? |

If the visa is an employment visa leading to an Iqama, the answer is yes. If the visa is a business visa, which is frequently used by schools, the answer is no. |

When I joined my current employer, they told me I could adult in any country I had residency in. This was for an Iqama.
Practically though, it may be easier to do it where you were educated if it involves running around getting things attested. |

This depends on the employer. If they have enough "wasta" it can be done.
I am not a US citizen but can speak from personal experience. Both the Airline and KFUPM got visas for me and family while I lived in a state of which I am not a citizen. |
