Just wanted to pass this on in case it's useful for anyone.

I just moved jobs and moved to Beijing. I didn't need to get my degree authenticated, but I had to send my original degree certificate, which I now have back.

So it seems if you have the original with you in China, there's no need to send it home, get stamps etc.

Hope this helps someone.

I knew of one british guy a bit older than me who is in Beijing now, I think. He was bragging about a fake degree to me when I knew him. Wonder if he will get away with it, I highly doubt it......

If he must present an original degree, if he has one of those 8"x5" fakes, he won't get away with it.

He told me he had it made up by an Indian/other dodgy bloke in Chungking mansions. Anyone who has been to HK will know what this place is and that "mansions" is a very unrealistic name for the building in question Twisted Evil Rolling Eyes
