I am an experienced teacher looking to see Japan and have been offered a job--Starting salary will be 270,000 yen a month for 100 hours of teaching. No office hours. Visa sponsorship is available.
Anyone familiar with I.C.S. English School in Fukuyama, Hiroshima? Anyone familiar with the city?
Any questions I should ask? I was mainly tihnking about questions that you wished you had asked before coming to Japan or taking your last job.
Thanks for you help. |

I don't think it will hurt to ask them if you could have any contact information of some former and present instructors so that you can have a better idea of what to expect. I did and it helped put my mind at ease.
Hope that helps. |

Are they helping you find and or furnish an apt?
Yes, speak to a current teacher, ask for their home tel. #, don't talk to them at the school.
What about teaching schedule? 2 concurrent days off, teaching in a block? Don't assume anything.
What about students, a good age group for you?
The pay sounds fine for 100 hrs. |
