Party B will come to China with a L visa and before the L visa expires Party A will give Party B a Z visa and Party B needs to pay for he visa run to HongKong which is in total around 2000 Yuan and the health check fee in China, which is 650 Yuan. Party A will pay for all the visa fee itself. Party A will guarantee Party B has the right Z visa no matter Party B has BA degree or not. But Party B needs to provide a two years work reference letter and a non criminal record.
Is this common? Also how much weight does this contract actually carry? If I were to get in any sort of trouble could this get me out of it? |
Don't do it.
Coming on anything but a Z visa is a bad move.
What else strikes me is audacity of the wording, as if the visa fee, which party A will pay for, is not stated but around around 500 yuan. Yet the teacher has to pay, according to the figures stated, 2,650 yuan.
Regarding the weight - I honestly doubt if you were arrested or stopped at immigration anything would happen to the employer.
The internet is full of stories of foreigners being conned by Chinese employers, but you hear very little about 'ABC English school fined for illegally hiring foreign teachers'. |
