Hi everyone,
I live in Spain and have been teaching for a number of years.
My job for this coming academic year will be primarily teaching one to one adult students (although I will have a few small group classes).
I will be given text books, but believe I will have a lot of flexibility and as the classes are mainly one-to-one, the focus of the classes will be decided by the students.
My co-ordinator tells me that historically the students at this company are interested in conversation classes, with some business English and some students who want training for the CPE exam. She also said that they will most likely all be pretty advanced in their English, ranging from Upper Intermediate to Proficiency.
So with all that being said, I am looking for recommendations on good resources websites that you have found useful. In the past I have used onestopenglish. Any other ideas? A lot of the good materials require a subscription of some sort to these sites. So if I am going to spend a little money on that, I would like to sign up to a good site. Suggestions on free sites are of course also welcome
Thanks!!! |

In my opinion, ESLLibrary.com is the best current resource site. I'm not sure the cost (I get a subscription through my employer), but the lessons are effective and organized well. I tried Onestopenglish but hated it (too disorganized). It only has US/Canada versions though, not sure if that's a problem for the UK English. |

Thanks a lot for the info. I will look into that site.
Has anyone used linguahouse? I have used some fairly good lesson plans on that. But the ones/topics that interested me the most required subscription. Is it worth it?
Also, any recommendations on where to find a good site for business role-plays.
Thanks! |
