Would anybody currently at, or recently departed from MTC care to comment on the vacation timings? I've been hearing conflicting reports. Is it true you only get 30 days in the summer and have to work summer school?

The vacations are down to two weeks n the summer, and a week plus two weekends at either end, at two other times. The weekends are consumed by travel time, leaving you with 20+ days a year to relish.

Bearing in mind the recent throat slitting at MTC you may wish to look elsewhere.

How do you explain a 3 months gig on your CV?

Does looks bad unless you leave it off, but even then you have to explain it.

Someone in your family got sick. Even better, got let down by a recruiter and the job fell through as they didn't actually have the contract .There, that wasn't so hard was it?

I wouldn't call 1385 Omani rial a month 'crap'.....particularly if you are assigned to an interior College. Your total monthly expenses 'may' not exceed the 385 a month...meaning total montly savings of almost 2000 pounds.....wouldn't call that 'crap'.
