Hi all!
I've been trying to find people to talk to about their experiences and what to expect when working at an international school, and now I've found the perfect place to ask my questions.
First a little bit about me.
I'm 24 and have been teaching for 2 years in the EYFS going into my 3rd year as acting manager. I did my degree in Education and then a PGCE with a specialism in SEN.
So onto my questions;
1. I've seen various TEFL etc courses but not sure where is a good place to look or what is a competitive price? Many offer differing amount of hours and I'm not really sure what is required?
2. Ideally I'd like to work in Europe- preferably Spain. I know some basics of the language and know some people out there which I could probably live with. I've looked on the 'Spain' discussion forum and seen some mixed reviews of the Spanish International Schools and particularly salary. That wasn't really a question but I'm sure people may have comments they wish to add!
3. How do I go about finding these kind of jobs in Europe? Might be a silly question but many of the websites I've been looking at mainly have jobs in Asia. Can anyone recommend websites? International School Recruitment Fairs? Anything!
Thanks in advance. I probably have more questions but will post them when I remember!

Since teaching at an international school doesn't always involve TEFL, a better forum for you is International Schools Review, which will allow you to connect with that specific teaching community. |
