I hear rumors that AMIDEAST Oman has closed. I note that it is no longer on the AMIDEAST web page.
Has anyone heard anything as to why?

I got official confirmation that it's permanently closed. No reason given.  |

| I know that for 2014/2015 academic year Oman quit the EL Fellow program as well. I knew the woman who was the ELF there 3 years ago & she was set to continue her post the next year but got sick and had to bow out, but my RELO at the time told me that the country opted out of the program so she was not going to be replaced. Also the English Access Microscholarship Program that the embassy runs in many countries was cancelled there. |
