I am just a bit worried about my school in korea. They have asked the teachers to discuss how to get more adult students in the next meeting. We are down to about 10 students each 3 times a week per teacher (3 x teachers). The boss has another business as well as the school and so far we are being paid. Should I look for a job in China incase anything goes wrong? I am a bit surprised at the lack of students in a city with a population of 1 million and right in the city centre. I would have thought there would be a lot more students but the American teacher who's been here a number of years says all adult hagwons are like this in Korea. We did have about 16 students each a month ago but students have gone back to Uni or gone overseas to American etc so that;s why there's a drop in numbers until xmas I believe when things should pick up again. Is it like this in china too at private language schools (adults)?

It's pointless to compare SK to China. (Nor can Korea be discussed in these forums.)

It seems you're mainly asking about adult student numbers/enrollment in China --- whether you'd have steady work and wouldn't have to worry about a drop in your teaching schedule.

The previous teacher's enrolment of students waxed and wained too apparently and she got paid for the whole 12 months. He must be getting money from his other business I guess. He has a manufacturing business too and also investors
