Yes I'm looking for a job in Guangdong province, I'm a formal TESOL Educator from Australia. I'm still in Melbored, and am available in four to five weeks notice of a job offer. I won't accept a salary less than 13,000 RMB a month. Housing or a housing allowance should be provided. References, CBC, apostilled testamurs etc are all available on request. I'm past the late forties mark, but I'm a good teacher and don't look my age. All leads appreciated, thanks in advance. JayJ |

Have you tried looking at Dave's ESL Cafe Job Board or any of the other dozens of resources available on the internet? The first step toward finding a good employer-employee match is doing your own research. Really. |

It might be helpful if you shared what you are qualified to teach and what you want to teach.
13k is more than possible for the right type of position. An example would be teaching at a "better" private chain like Wall Street. You could teach subjects in a high school prep program. A university position would rarely get you that, but you would likely have the time to do privates on the side if you chose to.
With exceptions, Chinese employers are not overly impressed with better qualifications and years of experience. I should say they prefer them, but will not necessarily pay for them unless they see the payoff for themselves. |
