I live in Qassim, so I'm probably a bit out of touch with how things are in the big cities.

While visiting Riyadh this weekend, I went into the Carrefour at Granada, every cashier, and I mean all twenty of them, plus the customer service people, were women. No family only checkout etc.

I only left Riyadh a year and a half ago, so this is a new development for me, What's happening in other cities?

This was a Friday morning before prayer, so presumably that's the only time this happens, but even so.....

I was shocked, in a nice way.

Here in Madinah, I got the same shock last weekend. Exact same thing at Carrefour. Yes, my shock was also on the surprise level.

Protip gents: if you ever want to play with the ultimate fire, those girls are often enough single and curious about meeting outside.

Just remember before playing that game... whereas you might lose your job, she could very likely lose her life. The stakes are much higher.

Married for over ten years, so I'll pass on that.

Plus, being able to tell what someone looks like from their eyes has never been my strong point.

Guess I'll just have to stick to the compound I visit regularly where there are plenty of Saudi ladies enjoying the refreshments in the recreation centre.

And dancing too......
