Can anyone provide a quick list of the contractors in Saudi Arabia? Not the recruiters (subcontractors).
Basically the ones that pay you your salary and do your paperwork; not the ones that hire for another recruiter.
It's confusing, with all the sub-recruiters out there, as to who your actual employer will be.
I realize you could ask where you are applying, but i figure why waste time when you can have an idea beforehand, whether they are recruiting for another recruiter, or they are directly hiring (thus being the main contractor).
Skyline, Prime teacher, M2r, Edex, American academy...etc. Who is who? A list of the “direct hire” recruiters/contractors would be nice.

Most will use recruiters and the salary will be the same so no difference to you. The best way to get in touch directly with the contractors is to attend their recruitment weekends and job fairs which in the UK are often in Birmingham and London. |

If you read each job ad carefully, you can generally tell if it's put out by a recruiter or the actual employer/contracting company. However, it really doesn't matter who posted the ad; just ask who the employer is during interviews. |

it really does if you only get a chance to answer the question by the time you've done the work to get an interview
you could try asking the question to whoever posted the ad. they might not tell you the truth though.
Come to think of it, there's no guarantee they'd tell you the truth at the interview either. |

Qualifications are specific to the position regardless of which recruiting agency or contracting company is involved. In other words, focus on those positions you actually qualify for (as a female) and are interested in, and then ask on the forum if anyone knows who the employer/contracting company is.
Anyway, I already gave you the link on contracting companies at Princess Nora U. on that other thread. You should also check out KSU Bidding war between companies, which will give you an idea of how these businesses operate. For info about direct-hire university opportunities, scroll up to the sticky in this forum. |

Sure. This is a public forum. There's no reason why you can't, as long as it's related to the topic. But if it's personal, PM me. |

No, but if you hum a few bars, I'm sure someone on this forum does.
Seriously, scour this forum and you'll find what you're looking for. (Again, check out that KSU thread I linked to; it mentions several companies.)
That said, collecting a list of contracting companies is a waste of your time -- they come-n-go, they win contracts, they lose contracts. If you're truly interested in securing a job in KSA, the best way is by applying to job ads and asking relevant questions about the employer/position. Easy breezy. |

Hm...must be two of you guys here...

...snip...InAdvance is just a recruitment agency operating in the UK and is not a Saudi employer/contracting company --- the latter is the entity responsible for staffing/HR decisions, visas, salaries, benefits, etc. Companies like SBC, QEHC, EdEx... sometimes do their own recruiting but often also use outside agencies such as Skyline, Prime Teachers, and InAdvance (all have recruited for companies contracted with PNU). In other words, the contracting company is the recruiting agency's client. Additionally, PNU and KSU rely on several contracting companies (and not just one) for their staffing needs. |
The above person seemed to know a handful, indicative of being quite knowledgeable about the "topic"...you know, the actual inquiry. |

No, you keep asking for a list of contracting companies. My old post (above) was basically an explanation of the difference between recruiting agencies and contracting companies/employers. But at least you now know the difference, although you're not closer to that major list you want. Someone will eventually pop in with a bunch of names for you to add to those I've already provided. |
