I got a job offer, but my passport expires in 2017.

If I take the offer, I will have to run like hell to get visa processed.

Is it worth the gamble?

"Passports:
To enter Saudi Arabia, a passport valid for at least six months at the time of the visa application is required by all nationals referred to in the chart above."

Your questions are technically UNANSWERABLE because you do not give enough information about yourself for a commentator to give credible and reliable advice.

For starters, you would need to give your nationality and the full date of passport expiry. Every nation has its own particular rules and regulations regarding issuing of passports and without knowing where you belong, it's impossible to make any suggestions.

In addition, saying, for example, as you do, that your "passport expires in 2017" is totally useless information since if your passport expires in JANUARY, you would obviously need a new passport right away. However, if your pp expires in DECEMBER of 2017, you've got all kinds of time before you need to get a renewal. No one can advise you what to do without that vital piece of information.

I'm surprised that all this isn't, like......kinda obvious to anyone who's been overseas in the past.
