Hi Wildcat
Why language schools ? There are other establishments like real schools where you teach in real classrooms with real students in them and you get paid a real salary ,not this hourly crap .
The fact that no one from a language good or otherwise has given you the courtsey of a response speaks volumes to me .
If you are the holder of a degree and a tefl certificate or equal you DON`T repeat DON`T have to work in one of this places . |

There are several language schools in Izmir - English Academy, English West, Address English - to name but three.
A reasonable rate of pay would be around 20 million TL an hour and free or subsidised housing should also be included in the package.
Of course you could choose a "real" school and teach "real" students with a real discipline problem and really bad management, but why subject yourself to that sort of nightmare when you could be teaching people who actually want to learn, in an environment that is conducive to learning? |
